Product Warranty
All Lumitec products carry a three year (3) warranty. Your product may qualify for Warranty Service. A Return Authorization number must be issued prior to any return. Please fill out our form below and our Service Department will contact you shortly. Warranty Claims must include a valid part number or product description, which can be located on the product page here.
Limited Warranty:
The product is warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of three (3) years from the date of original purchase.
Lumitec is not responsible for product failure caused by abuse, neglect, improper installation, or failure in applications other than those for which it was designed, intended, and marketed. Lumitec, Inc. assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any damage, loss, or injury that may result from the incorrect installation of this product, including but not limited to structural damage due to water intrusion, electrical malfunction or vessel sinking when used in marine applications.
Should your Lumitec product prove defective during the warranty period, promptly notify Lumitec for a return authorization number and return product with freight prepaid. Lumitec will, at its option, repair or replace the product or defective portion without charge for parts or labor, or, at Lumitec’s option, refund purchase price. Products repaired or replaced under this warranty shall be warranted for the unexpired portion of the warranty applying to the original product(s). No warranty or affirmation of fact, express or implied, other than as set forth in the limited warranty statement above is made or authorized by Lumitec, Inc. Any liability for consequential and incidental damages is expressly disclaimed. Lumitec liability in all events is limited to, and shall not exceed, the purchase price paid.
Warranty Claim Form
Please complete the below warranty claim form. On submission of the form you will receive a product return RA number within 2 business days. There are two methods available to our customers to obtain a replacement product.
Standard: The first option is to ship the defective product back to Lumitec with the issued RA number and wait for defective product approval. Lumitec typically completes this approval process within 5 business days from receipt of the returned light. If the product is deemed defective and valid under our 3-year limited warranty program you will be issued a replacement product similar to the defective product.
Prepayment: We also understand that many of our customers want to get their boats back into the water as quickly as possible. To meet this need Lumitec has a prepayment option where you can choose to purchase a new replacement product at MSRP. We will ship the new product to you for immediate use while we wait for the defective product to be returned and go through our warranty review process (defective light must be returned within 60 days). If the claim is deemed valid a credit will be issued to you for the purchase price.

Limited Warranty
Lumitec, LLC (“Lumitec”) warrants, to the original purchaser only, that the Lumitec product will be free from defects in manufacturing, workmanship, and materials for a period of five (5) years from the date of original purchase.
This Limited Warranty is not transferable for any reason, including in the event the applicable product is sold, traded, transferred or otherwise disposed of in any manner by the original purchaser to another party.
Lumitec is not responsible for product failure caused by abuse, neglect, improper installation, or failure in applications other than those for which it was designed, intended, and marketed. Lumitec assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any damage, loss, or injury that may result from the incorrect installation of this product, including but not limited to structural damage due to water intrusion, electrical malfunction or vessel sinking when used in maritime applications. Lumitec is not responsible for damage to products caused by fire, explosion, implosion, flood, hurricane, earthquake, lightning strike, acid rain, chemical fallout, catastrophic event, or other act of God or nature.
Warranty Claim Process
To make a warranty claim under this Limited Warranty, a return authorization number must be issued prior to any return. Please complete and submit the Warranty Claim form and our Service Department will contact you. Each Warranty Claim must include a valid part number or product description, which can be located on the product page HERE.
Once a return authorization number has been obtained, promptly notify Lumitec (returns@lumiteclighting.com) and return the product with freight prepaid. If a product fails to conform to this Limited Warranty, Lumitec’s liability is limited, at Lumitec’s option, to repair or replacement of the product without charge for parts or labor, or, in the alternative, refunding of the purchase price. Products repaired or replaced under this Limited Warranty shall be warranted for the unexpired portion of the warranty period applying to the original product(s).
Lumitec is not responsible for any warranties other than the warranties set forth in this Limited Warranty, including, but not limited to any warranty that may be provided to subsequent customers or other end users of product, other than the original purchaser.

Standard: The first option is to ship the product back to Lumitec with the issued RA number and wait for limited warranty claim approval. Lumitec typically completes this claim review process within 5 business days from receipt of the returned product. If the product fails to conform to the Limited Warranty and was originally purchased within 5 years of the warranty claim, Lumitec, at its option, will issue a replacement product, repair the product, or provide a full refund of the purchase price.
Prepayment: We also understand that many of our customers want to get their boats back into the water as quickly as possible. To meet this need Lumitec has a prepayment option where you can choose to purchase a new replacement product at MSRP. We will ship the new product to you for immediate use while we wait for the product to be returned and go through our warranty review process (the product must be returned within 60 days of purchase of the replacement product). If Lumitec approves the warranty claim, a credit for the MSRP of the replacement product will be issued to you.
EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY DESCRIBED ABOVE, THERE ARE NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND AND THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT OR ANY PART OR COMPONENT THEREOF AND NO WARRANTY SHALL BE IMPLIED BY OPERATION OF LAW OR OTHERWISE. IN NO EVENT SHALL LUMITEC BE LIABLE TO ANY PERSON OR ENTITY FOR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR CHARGES FOR ANY REASON, EVEN IF SUCH DAMAGES OR CHARGES ARE FORESEEABLE OR LUMITEC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR CHARGES.
ALL BUYERS, USERS AND SELLERS OF LUMITEC’S PRODUCTS UNDERSTAND THAT CERTAIN LUMITEC PRODUCTS ARE MADE AND SOLD FOR MARITIME USE ONLY. BUYER HEREBY FULLY AND IRREVOCABLY RELEASES LUMITEC FROM, AND HEREBY AGREES TO FULLY IDEMNIFY AND DEFEND LUMITEC FROM AND AGAINST, ANY LIABILITIES, CLAIMS, ALLEGATIONS, COSTS, EXPENSES OR DAMAGES ASSOCIATED WITH THE IMPROPER USE, OR ALLEGED IMPROPER USE, OF LUMITEC’s MARITIME PRODUCTS.
No variation or change from this Limited Warranty will be binding upon Lumitec unless made in writing specifically referencing this Limited Warranty and signed by an officer of Lumitec.
